Sport and SUN in the age of COVID19

BOOK YOUR APPOINTMENT

Maybe it’s because we’ve all been stuck at home for so long, but even though we are not quite half way through the year, it seems like 2 lifetimes have already gone by. Due to the current and ongoing COVID19 situation, there is a new reality in all medical care, but the goal is the same. Our mission to our patients and athletes has not changed. We are here to help people see their best at work, home, school (eventually) and in sport!

The wet and cold of winter are rapidly becoming a distant memory. Temperatures are definitely rising and now with SOME parks reopening (https://www.riversideca.gov/press/information-regarding-covid-19-coronavirus), we have a chance to stretch our legs a bit and enjoy the SUN!

One of the hallmarks of success in sport is having the right gear for the job. Sunglasses whenever we are outdoors are more than just a fashion statement. All athletes’ eyes require adequate protection against the harmful rays of the sun. But more importantly, reflection from the suns light on any number of surfaces can cause debilitating glare and reduction in vision that can mean the difference between a hit or a miss on the field. Cutting edge frame and lens technology by companies like Oakley, SMITH, Rudy and Maui Jim offer athletes of all levels the protection, style and vision enhancement to boost sports performance.

As you venture outside, please remember to be safe (better safe than sorry). And don’t forget your sunglasses! If you need an update in your prescription, give us a call or schedule an appointment. 0263173001588894777.jpg
